DIY Water Tower | IBC Tote Water Storage (Great for DRINKING WATER - SHOWERS - GARDENING)

• BE Adventure Partners - YouTube.com

Check out how we put together our #DIYWaterTower. This #IBCTote Water Storage is going to be used for our drinking water storage backup, outdoor showers, and watering our garden. It's also going to serve as a #WaterBackup to our 100 gallons of fresh water storage that's on the bus.

The IBC tote we acquired was previously used for hydrogen peroxide and is A-OK for using with potable water (drinking water).

To prevent algae growth inside the IBC tote, we were looking for a roll of 6 mil poly film, but all the stores were out of ANY weight of that plastic sheeting. So we ended up using black trash bags taped to the sides.

Having the IBC tote water tower up high increases the head pressure, which will allow for a higher rate of flow than if we kept it set on the ground. Also, the discharge orifice on the IBC tote needs to be higher than the discharge on the garden hose, because water seeks the lowest point.
