Republican Speaker of the House Mike Johnson immediately shut down the Senate's $95 billion bill to fund Ukraine and Israel as he denied the bill a vote in the House. There were zero provisions in the Senate bill to stem the tide of migrants invading the US border. The Biden regime responded by threatening that US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) will likely have to release about 16,000 illegals in custody because ICE will lack the funding to keep them detained. ICE is about $700 million in the negative on their budget, which could have been dealt with if the funding had included border provisions. Democrats are blaming Republicans for the open border crisis because this bill failed.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Mike Turner, a Republican, called for Biden to declassify intelligence on a "serious national security threat" involving Russia's nuclear weapons in space after the Senate bill was dropped by Speaker Johnson.

Republican Representative Andy Ogles accused Mr. Turner of having ulterior motives for issuing his 'warning' and creating fear, citing the battle over both funding for Ukraine and Israel and a bill to reauthorize the nation's warrantless spy powers. Rep. Ogles asked for an inquiry into Turner's revelation, saying it was done with "reckless disregard" for consequences to geopolitics, markets and "the well-being and psyche of the American people." Ogles also questioned whether Turner should remain chair of the intelligence committee.
