Nobles Sustainability Stories Episode 9: Erin Summe '04

• https://www.youtube.com, Nobles Graduates

New York City hosted "Climate Week" earlier this September and Erin spoke on a panel with Coalition for Private Investment in Conservation (CPIC) and International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) about the launch of Natural Asset Companies.

Erin is currently the Director of Global Business Development at Intrinsic Exchange Group, a company that is launching a new asset class based on the value and productivity of nature. In this role she identifies/engages with potential issuers of Natural Asset Companies (NACs), develops strategic partnerships and works alongside institutions/family offices to inform the financial community of NAC investment opportunities. Erin explains this work in depth in the first few minutes of the podcast, which is a fascinating new way to look at the intersection of finance and impact.

Before joining Intrinsic Exchange Group, Erin founded Thandeka Travel, an African-based safari company that curates high-end experiences for families looking to immerse themselves with local organizations addressing climate change, employment, healthcare and education. Take a look at the Thandeka Travel website for an overview of the programs as well as the stunning photography taken by Erin herself (see above).
