Opposition to wind farms –on land and offshore – continues to increase in the U.S. and worldwide due to various issues associated with them – economic (see 1, 2, 3), environmental (see 1, 2), health, and safety.  Recently in Oklahoma, a federal judge ruled that a wind farm had to be removed after years of controversy regarding its construction and operation.

A federal judge on Wednesday ordered the removal of a wind farm in Osage County and set a trial for damages in a win for the Osage Nation and its Mineral Council, which, along with the federal government, have been fighting the erection of the turbines for more than a decade.
