The Latin School of Chicago, a $40,000-a-year private institution, allegedly added critical race theory into its physics classes in 2016

According to emails obtained from the school, former director Elizabeth Denevi introduced a new to ninth grad students called 'Social Justice in Physics'

The course was meant to address racism and white privilege in science

It also asked students to complete a survey to track the program's effectiveness

Months after the course launched, Denevi went on to co-found Teaching While White, a group that helps white educations be 'anti-racist' in the classroom
