Antic says he doesn't know why he is in quarantine

Mr Antic was directed to quarantine in a medi-hotel after arriving from Canberra on Thursday night.

He said he had been in Canberra for two weeks for work and attempted to come back but was "met with some resistance" and ultimately told he needed to go into a medi-hotel.

"I'm now surrounded by COVID in a medi-hotel and that's alarming," he said.

When asked why he was in a medi-hotel, Mr Antic said it was "a very good question".

Mr Antic said on prior trips back from Canberra he had been allowed to quarantine at home for two weeks.

But under border changes from November 23, unvaccinated travellers can only enter South Australia with an exemption.

SA government guidelines state travellers may be required to complete quarantine at home or in a medi-hotel "depending on individual circumstances".
