Virginia voters chose not to rehire Terry McAuliffe, but the former governor could find a spot in the Biden administration. 

The Biden White House is considering bringing on the well-connected McAuliffe, who talked up the Biden agenda in his ultimately unsuccessful run against Republican Glenn Youngkin.

McAuliffe has spent decades at top levels of Democratic politics, only to be turned out by voters in a state Biden won by 10 percentage points in 2020.

But he has skills and connections, plus experience as a purple state governor, that make him attractive to the Biden team.
