Cuomo is STRIPPED of his Emmy for pandemic press conferences amid sexual harassment...

Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has been stripped of his Emmy Award due to the sexual assault allegations validated in the New York Attorney General's report.

The International Academy has rescinded its 2020 International Emmy Founders Award from the disgraced politician.

He was chosen for the award in honor of his daily covid briefings during the pandemic.

'The International Academy announced today that in light of the New York Attorney General's report, and Andrew Cuomo's subsequent resignation as Governor, it is rescinding his special 2020 International Emmy Award,' the organization announced in a statement.

'His name and any reference to his receiving the award will be eliminated from International Academy materials going forward.'

At the time of Cuomo's daily briefings he was hailed for his valiant efforts to inform the public and control New York's covid pandemic.

'The Governor's 111 daily briefings worked so well because he effectively created television shows, with characters, plot lines, and stories of success and failure,' International Academy President & CEO, Bruce Paisner said in a press release at the time.

'People around the world tuned in to find out what was going on, and New York tough became a symbol of the determination to fight back.'

The Founders Award honors an individual who 'crosses cultural boundaries to touch our common humanity.
