Rep. Liz Cheney of Wyoming called  GOP Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy 'childish' after he labeled Adam Kinzinger 'Pelosi Republicans'

Kinzinger said: McCarthy 'can call me whatever names he wants'

'If Kevin decides... to punish Liz Cheney and I for getting to the bottom and telling the truth, I think that probably says more about them than it does for us'  

McCarthy suggested on Monday there could be consequences for the duo, who are the only two Republicans on Pelosi's January 6 select committee    

The GOP leader said 'we'll see' when asked if he would punish Cheney and Kinzinger for joining the committee investigating the Capitol riot

Asked when he had last talked to them he told DailyMail.com: 'Couldn't tell you'   

McCarthy attended a White House Rose Garden event on Monday

That put him in the same venue as  Pelosi who he's been arguing with over the formation of the January 6 select committee 

On Wednesday, Pelosi nixed two GOP lawmakers McCarthy had selected to serve on the committee: Reps. Jim Jordan and Jim Banks 

Instead she asked Kinzinger, a Trump critic who voted for impeachment, to serve
