Now, working in conjunction with private organizations, it will invest more than $5 million in prize money to convince those who remain wary of the vaccine.

The government of Michigan, led by Democrat Gretchen Whitmer, has launched a program that will offer cash prizes to residents who have been or will be vaccinated against the CCP Virus, seeking to motivate those who have not yet done so and thus achieve the vaccination rates announced by the governor as "safe" to normalize economic and social life, announced the local media WoodTv.

The My Shot to Win sweepstakes agency will give away a cumulative total of more than $5 million, broken down into smaller daily drawings and two larger monthly prizes.

The daily drawings for prizes of $50,000 will run for 30 days. Winners must have received their first dose by the date linked to the drawing to be eligible to receive the prize.

In addition, the drawing will also award nine college scholarships to residents ages 12 to 17 who were vaccinated between Dec. 1 and July 30. Winners will receive a Michigan Education Trust scholarship worth $55,000 to cover a four-year degree, a private organization with which the state of Michigan also made special arrangements to collaborate on this incentive plan.
