President Donald Trump has turned his attention to Rand Paul to try pressuring him into joining House members in challenging the electors' votes 

He reposted several tweets Wednesday and Thursday where the Kentucky senator is portrayed as claiming the election 'in many ways was stolen' 

Paul said on Wednesday that he has not given much thought into whether he will challenge the electors' votes in the joint session on January 6

Senate Majority Whip John Thune said Thursday: 'It's time to be done with this. I would hope that we wouldn't have members of the Senate' object to the results

Senator Ron Johnson said he will not join House Republicans in the challenge when Congress certifies the election for Joe Biden next month

'I don't think it's going to happen,' Johnson told reporters on Capitol Hill Wednesday. 'I'm certainly not going to do it' 

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell warned Republican senators in a call Tuesday not to join the House efforts for the sake of the party

He claimed it would split the party, ultimately fail and have the appearance of the GOP supporting an 'anti-Trump vote'
