Overall, at least 46 Iraqis
were killed and 79 more were wounded there and in other violence. Also,while ignoring international scorn, Iraq executed
another four people, including a man described as an al-Qaeda leader.

About 42 people were killed in Tikrit when a suicide bomber
blew up a tanker truck bomb at police headquarters. At least 67 more
were wounded. Eighteen homes were destroyed in the bombing.

At an Anbar province oil field, two engineers were shot dead and a third one was kidnapped.
