No angel glasses? That's good. God is to be the focus, not the angels.

Jesus is the Angel that put Satan into the abyss, and locked and sealed it over him. He did it when He completed His work on the cross. "It is finished." The abyss of death. A grave strong enough to hold even one as strong as Satan.

Then why is Satan going to be coming back up out of the abyss for a short time at the end? Simple. Because the people ask for him, just like they ask for politicians to be their Government... rather than placing their faith in God.

Is Satan back up from the abyss right now? Might be. We have more snakes than ever, in this world. And there are a whole bunch of them in Government.
 

Guardian angels are here all the time but only take orders from God, right. So all them Jews in the Holocaust had angels under order to let them starve and smoke? :)

Actually, the Bible Creation story portrays the original pair Adam and Eve being assigned the guardian angel named LUCIFER, who was supposed to cover them and relay messages to/from God, but went renegade and led them into sin and expulsion from the Garden of Eden, going with them and covering them ever since, leading them into false religions, the worst being Islam. That's why most people never get right with God, because Lucifer covers them, blocks God, and deceives them into thinking his demons are their guardian angels. That's why Jesus said "Get behind me Satan", he was used to being in front of him :)

So maybe all them crazed military leaders in WWI and WWII were being told what to do by their guardian demons not guardian angels, I don't know I wasn't there and have no angel glasses :)  Or maybe the New Agers are right that there is no Satan, only God and our pesky egos that do the blocking, I'll tell you when I give myself a miracle cure on the O Channel :)

Guardian angels are not our protection puppets. Rather, they take their orders from God. 

People reject God all the time. Yet God often orders His angels to guard them anyway.

If guardian angels were the answer to eternal life here, then nobody who believed in God would ever die. That's not what the angels are for. They are here to work with God as His Spirit attempts to draw us into faith in Him, so that we can gain eternal life in the new heavens and earth God is creating. That's why we have the protection that we do. It's not for purposes of this life, but purposes of the next.

Consider Patsy Cline. She had told friends that she had bad premonitions about that fateful flight in which she died, before she got on the plane. How many times do we NOT listen to the angel that talks to us.

Many young people enlist in the military against the instructions being whispered in their ear, from guardian angels. Yet, they are often saved from death, even though they did not listen to the instruction to not enlist, simply because the angels are working overtime.

I'd like to believe in guardian angels, but my study of WWI and WWII makes it hard. Did they go on strike? :)

Did you catch my mistakes in my previous comment here? Moses lived and wrote what he wrote around 1,500 BC, not 1,900 BC. He had access to Egyptian writings of history that went back about 2,400 years - not 2,000 years as I said - back to the beginning, the creation of the universe.

That's the question, isn't it? Are there Guardian Angels or not?

The idea of angels as angels comes almost exclusively from the Bible. Oh sure, some of the Southeast Asian religions talk about guiding spirits. And some New Age religions - which are mostly based on Eastern religions - talk about the same. But if a person accepts the idea of guardian angels because he accepts the idea from the Bible, why? Why accept such a Bible idea, yet not accept the rest of the Bible?

What I mean is, how does anyone know which parts of the Bible are truth and which are not? After all, http://www.albatrus.org/english/theology/creation/biblical_age_earth.htm shows the history of the world, from the Bible, in such a way that proves that the universe is almost exactly 6,000 years old. And it is shown in such a strong way, that if you don't believe it, you should probably drop the whole idea of the Bible, and angels as well. If you don't drop it all, you are contradicting yourself. Why? Because you can't know what Bible parts to accept and what Bible parts to reject. It would all be guesswork on your part, attempting to determine which parts of the Bible are truth and which are not.

Moses wrote the first 5 books of the Bible. He compiled them over several decades around 1900 BC. He took much of the history of Genesis, the first book of the Bible, from writings that he, as a prince of Egypt, had access to... historical writings from the beginning... eye witness accounts of the first 2,000 years of the world after God created it.

So, who are you going to believe? Will you believe the writings of witnesses of power, power that has kept the Bible alive in the hearts of billions for thousands of years - Moses and the other Bible authors? Or will you believe the ideas of modern scientists who are continually guessing about the age of the earth, whose theories are often contradictory, and whose theories and ideas have so many explanations other than what they say, that there cannot be any real, for-sure fact to their ideas at all?

In other words, since nobody can make a blade of grass, since nobody can create a living creature, since nobody can bring life out of a mixture of inanimate chemicals, since nobody even knows how living things can possibly exist by the billions and trillion around the world, the existence of this whole world and life is UTTERLY IMPOSSIBLE in our eyes, except for the fact that it all exists.

And then, when scientists admit that they don't know for sure, but that the world MUST have happened in some way similar to what they say, they show that they are talking like politicians. And like politicians, they get their stupidity printed up in ways that seem to say that their stuff is truth, so that simple people believe a bunch of foolishness that has never been proven and can't even be understood.

If a person is not going to believe the whole Bible, why not develop some other explanation for guardian angel protection?
