Bullhead City man arrested for keeping a raccoon

• AP
A Bullhead City man found out this week that keeping a raccoon as a pet is against the law. Arizona Game and Fish Department officers along with members of the Bullhead City Police Department arrested 57-year-old Stan Morris Wednesday after learning that Morris was keeping a raccoon.

According to a state wildlife official, Morris had been seen in public recently with the raccoon perched on his shoulder.

I just spoke to Stan Morris in Bullhead and he told me about Sonny being taken away from him.  I have taken photos of Sonny and watched the interaction between them.  Total affection for one another.  I am just sick about this and wish that there was something I could do to get Sonny back to Stan.  Please give him back to Stan.

Good to know.  I should probably warn my mother.  She lives up north and installed a doggie door for her cat to come and go as it pleased and, on occasion, my mom has awaken in the morning to find racoons had used the doggie door to gain entry into her kitchen to find food.  Knowing the over-active law enforcement thugs up there, I wouldn't be surprised if the next call I got from my mom was from the jail.

arrested for having a raccoon?  My God. How much more friggin insane is it going to get? Is this country addicted to arresting people? Must be since we have more people in our jails and prisons then all other countries in the world combined. What does that tell you?

Wake up sheeple.
