Arizona Humane Society in crisis mode after killing kitten

• AP
Animal lovers threatened to pull donations to an animal rescue group and the public flooded the agency with scathing comments and calls after a man’s cat was euthanized when he couldn’t afford its medical care, prompting the Arizona Humane Society to go into damage-control mode Wednesday.

Here's what the furor is about: the guy didn't have the money so his mother offered, over the phone, to pay the bill.  The Humane Society wouldn't accept it and forced the guy to give up his rights to the kitten by lying that they'd take care of it.  Instead they killed it.  One phone call to the credit card company could have verified the card, but they couldn't be bothered to do that.

As for the world's other problems, those are separate issues.  If you care about those issues then go do something about it.  But don't tell us animal lovers what to do.

Not surprising; afterall, this is Arizona! As for the kitten, unfortunately, it was probably "suspected" of believing in the Constitution of the United States, and didn't really understand that it was living in the People's Republic of Arizona...Don't be too surprised to discover that the cat was armed, at the time of its demise. If you aren't aware:  It is a capital offense to be armed, or to respond to an armed assault -especially in your own home, in Arizona. You'd think that someone would at least plead for the mental status of the kitten...

It's more than a little pathetic that the subjects living in Arizona are more concerned with the life of an obviously violent and out-of-control kitten than they are about their fellow human beings. (Human beings have very few "fellows" in the slave state of Arizona!)

I am an animal lover and condemn any type of harm or violence to any animal unless under threat of harm. What really amazes me though is the public going into an out rage of protest because this agency euthanized this cat, but yet with all the out of control abuse and forced violence from law enforcement agencies across this country and even this out right treasonous vote from the senate last week on this NDAA bill, and it's still business as usual and all quite on the western front.

What in Heavens name is happening in this country? Are we living in the Twilight Zone?
