By Susan Hustwick: We have strayed far from the path on our road to fiscal responsibility. It’s not only the journey that got us here, but the ultimate destination that worries me most. The destination of the United States isn’t looking so good. Like any journey to get to a destination, you are required to use a road map, a good compass, steer clear of any obstacles, and always stay on the right path. This isn’t an easy road for me to maneuver. I am a woman driver (I can hear the jokes even now), and I require a lot of maps. When I decided to keep track of the Education and the Workforce Committee, little did I know that there were many subcommittees within that committee. It doesn’t sound like a reliable way to go through so many committees to reach the destination...
