Hal Rogers said he was committed to cutting 74 billion out of the continuing resolution (CR) that was being introduced at the Obama 2011 levels. While falling short of the proposed 100 billion, there was an attempt being made to spend less. It wasn’t good enough, and the conservatives the voters sent up to Congress said so.
Loudly.
Understanding that a 74 billion dollar cut in a fiscal year that would have about 5 1/2 months left in it adds up accounting wise to around 33 billion dollars, the GOP leadership under Rep. Rogers underestimated the conservative fiscal hawks that were perched...................[]
