2 Comments in Response to Maricopa County Attorney's Office declines to file charges in inmate's heat death
Kind of my thoughts Lucky. Maricopa Co. prosecutors have been ever vigilant to prosecute owners who leave their dogs in the car unattended. Grieving people have been scolded and mocked publicly by a black robed pirate and sentenced to many months or even years for cruelty.
Yet, the same prosecutor's office did not file charges against a King's man who bar-b-q'ed his K9 cop pal in his government issued squad car for nine hours.
A K9 that if you or I had barely even touched could have resulted in assault charges brought against us for assaulting a "working dog." Which is pretty comparable to "an assault on the Kings man's dog is and assault on the King."
Ah, a system that only prosecutes the people. Ain't that nice and cozy? Now, if that same poor guy that died of heat would have, while alive, ran over a cat or a red light or stolen a bottle of Aspirine from Wal Mart, they would have thrown the cuffs on him immediately and locked him up and thrown away the keys for years. The system of [in]justice is as broken as the rest of the so called systems in the US.
