Maintaining Inner Peace through Tough Times

• SMCC
I was thinking about it tonight. There has to be a philosophical way to look at things in such a way that one can transcend all this terrible spiritual blackness. We really suffer in post-911 America, not merely with the events going on in the world, but due to our own reactions to those events. Justified as these responses may be, as goes absolutely without saying. And yet, we still really suffer with these rightful and understandable reactions.

Now that I can think, I want to keep on thinking about all kinds of things, more and more. I want to learn so much more. I want to see so many more sights.

But I am slowing down. I am getting old. I am running out of time.

The greatest teaching of Christ is way beyond that of the other religions and philosophies of the world. Through Christ, we learn that though we die, that though this world or universe comes to an end, that He Christ, through His Almighty Father's power, will raise us to life again someday, and give us a new life in a new universe of peace.

The someday is not far off. For the new-born babies, it is usually less than 100 years.
