Are You Supporting a Hellish CAFO?

The irony is, if a single person treats an animal like this, he/she is charged with animal cruelty, fined, and faces possible jail time if the situation is severe enough. Why then, do the big money-making corporations get to treat their animals in an intensely inhumane way and get away with it? In fact, they get promoted by the USDA!!!

Barbara, this issue isn't usually even on my radar with problems we humans are up against right now, but it really should be. We are what we eat, and we reap what we sow in terms of pain and suffering. How do I tell if my local grocer sells CAFO meat? Where do I look for non-CAFO products? Have any SPCA officers ever tried to issue cruelty citations and take this to court? Wouldn't that be job 1? Great article.
