This house has to be less than 1000 sq ft, it's made of straw, and she had help from friends on weekends to build it.  Why did it cost so much?  It should have cost her $5000.

 Neat idea, but not new.  Mother Earth News from the 1970's had many plans & ideas for building straw bale housing, rammed earth houses, sod houses, etc.  Great until some m'f'ing zoning commissar or building inspector comes along....

Hummmm.  If I recall, this did not end well for the first little pig.  ;-)
