Warning: Oil supplies are running out fast

• By Steve Connor, Science Editor, The Independent
The world is heading for a catastrophic energy crunch that could cripple a global economic recovery because most of the major oil fields in the world have passed their peak production, a leading energy economist has warned. Higher oil prices brought on by a rapid increase in demand and a stagnation, or even decline, in supply could blow any recovery off course, said Dr Fatih Birol, the chief economist at the respected International Energy Agency (IEA) in Paris, which is charged with the task of assessing future energy supplies by OECD countries.

The dream was if you raised the standard of living across the world then there would be more jobs and security.  After all a population that has the American ideal of goodies is, like the great American citizen, fat, lazy and not involved in politics.

The reality is that American business and world money have created a monster that will force wars for natural resources with in ten years.   China and India have given the taste of the good life to hundreds of millions.  These masses will become very unhappy when they can not work, enjoy upward mobility and a strong GNP.  They will demand  that their countries governments move to keep the natural resources flowing into their countries.  Added to this as the oil becomes less produced and as China and India demand more plus the usage of Europe and America the oil countries who are militarily weak will raise the price until one country or group decides they can just take the lands that hold the oil.

When this happens, the question arises will Europe protect the Balkans from attack.  Will the USA protect the oil sand countries from attack by China or India?  Who will protect the oil outside Viet Nam from India or China?  The USA?

The future will, even if the USA cuts oil usage to only oil from the Americas, an area we can defend, be one of large powerful countries that can put twenty to thirty million troops on the ground against small oil nations that have a few million people.  If China went into Iraq or Iran with in ten months their would be no native peoples in the country.

I've been covering this issue for several years on the radio show and here on FreedomsPhoenix. Bottom line: Every drop of oil that is needed is produced. All of the other fear mongering about supply is more about price manipulation than anything else.

When the "shortage" comes and prices skyrocket again I guarantee you the profit incentive to produce more oil will overwhelm any shortage of supply. Many reasons for this, that I am certain to bring out when the time arises… again.
