It's not war; it's a massacre.

 Israel did in fact fight what is now considered the proper war, that is targeting those that have been attacking them instead of wholesale block or city bombing.

The problem is that unless you defeat the mother in the street and the son who has been attacking you gain nothing.

If Israel had started at the point of the last attack and with bombs and heavy equipment started to level the area for one sq mile, then with the next attack dropped block busters and leveled a sq mile they would not be faced with a group of people no one else wants shooting at them.

But that is not proper, I will state that if Someone was daily attacking cities in the USA We would level the nation not just try to kill those who were shooting at us.
