Officer Mark MacPhail sounds lie he was a very good cop. He died in a selfless, and noble manner, trying to help the helpless and downtrodden against three thugs, and he paid for it with his life.

If Troy Davis is innocent, I wonder how a man such as Mark MacPhail would feel about yet another death of an innocent -- in his name -- that he couldn't stop.

If Troy Davis is guilty, I wonder how such a man as Mark MacPhail would feel about the rush to execute someone when there is now ample evidence that bring into question Mr. Davis' guilt. Woud MacPhail protest delaying to make sure the right man is being executed?

Of course that would actually have to entail the prosecutor's office getting off its sorry real end and investigating and remaking their case. Something for years now they have been completely unwilling to do because Georgia government never makes mistakes...and the sooner this one is buried, the sooner the public will forget and move along, nothing to see here....
