TO answer Time magazine's question of what is next for gun control? Pretty much whatever they wish has now been expressly approved by the Supremes. Oh, they will have trouble restricting the use of muskets and smoothbores in someone's home, or black powder revolvers. Those seem protected by Scalia's tome. For now.

But I see no prohibition against demanding their registration before you can possess such in your castle.

Everything else is up to the various government's to "decide." Regulation for public safety, public good and to protect our brave law enforcement officers from resistance, I mean harm, is hunky dory to use the Latin vernacular favored by the justices.
