Peter Schiff acts as the Chief Economist & Global Strategist of Euro Pacific Capital, a division of Alliance Global Partners, a Registered Investment Adviser and a full-service broker/dealer. He is one of the few widely known economists and investment professionals to have warned about the financial crisis before it began. As a result of his commentary on the U.S. stock market, economy, real estate, the mortgage meltdown, credit crunch, subprime debacle, commodities, gold and the dollar, he is becoming increasingly more renowned. Mr. Schiff began his investment career as a financial consultant with Shearson Lehman Brothers, after having earned a degree in finance and accounting from U.C. Berkeley in 1987. A financial professional for more than twenty years, he founded Euro Pacific Capital in 1996 and served as its President until December 2010, when he had become CEO. In 2017 he sold the company, which was subsequently renamed Alliance Global Partners, and now acts as a consultant to the Euro Pacific Capital division on economics and global investment strategies. A specialist on currencies, economic theory, and international investing, he is a highly sought-after speaker at conferences and symposia around the world. He served as an economic advisor to the 2008 Ron Paul presidential campaign and ran unsuccessfully for the U.S. Senate in Connecticut in 2010. He resides in Connecticut and holds FINRA Series 4, 7, 24, 27, 53, 55, 63 & 65 registrations.
