Athena Roberts:
"Athena Roberts is an aerospace engineering student at Arizona State University. She is in her junior year and is interested in developing advanced propulsion and radiation shielding systems and ways to dramatically reduce the cost to Earth orbit. She works on the AZLoop SpaceX Hyperloop competition team as a propulsion engineer. She enjoys cuddling with her boyfriend."
Lynne Nethken:
Lynne Nethken is a Masters student of Mechanical Engineering in the School for Engineering of Matter, Transport, and Energy at Arizona State University. Her studies focus on astrodynamics and controls theory for satellites and other space flight vehicles. She is the Project Lead and Team Captain for AZLoop, a team of over 100 students from four different universities across the state of Arizona competing in the SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition. Together, the team is attempting to design and build some of the first prototypes for the revolutionary transit system.
Josh Kosar:
Josh Kosar is an undergraduate robotics engineering student at the polytechnic school of the Ira A. Fulton schools of engineering. He runs the Rossum rumblers robotics club, works on autonomous disposable robots for space, research on human/robot interaction and new methods of optical flow in machine vision. He is the founder and project lead of Azloop, a team of brilliant engineers dedicated to designing the future of transportation. In his free time, he likes to cuddle up with his brand new baby, Jasper.
ABOUT AZLOOP…
AZLoop is Arizona's SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition Team. We are comprised of more than 75 undergraduate and graduate students from Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and Thunderbird School of Global Management. The SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition was created by SpaceX to challenge university students worldwide to engineer and build the best Hyperloop pod imaginable. In Competition II, the single criterion for success is maximum speed. Through unwavering perseverance and the innovation Arizona's universities are nationally recognized for, the fastest Hyperloop pod is exactly what the brilliant members of AZLoop are on their way to achieve.
If you are interested in joining our team, please email cnethken@asu.edu. We are recruiting for students in all areas of study, including engineering, business, computer science, and many more. You must be a registered student at an Arizona university and a minimum of 10 hours per week time commitment is required.
