The Nolan Chart - Survey

https://www.nolanchart.com/survey-php

Here are the questions in the survey - click button at end of questions (or click here) to take survey...

1. Speech, Assembly, Press, Internet, and Property Rights Government should not restrict speech, press, media or Internet. The rights of free citizens who don't violate other people's rights must be respected and protected at all times. Exercise of eminent domain should be extremely limited and its use avoided whenever possible. Private property and privacy rights should be protected at all times.
Speech, assembly, press, and Internet should be free except when it comes to protecting against terrorism and other threats to public safety. Free speech zones can be established to protect the right of free speech while insuring security at public events. Eminent domain should be maintained in practice, but it should not be available merely as a means to enrich private developers via enforced land transfers.
Speech, assembly, press, and Internet should be free; however the government has a role in regulating certain speech, such as criminalizing hate speech and regulating sexual or violent content over public airwaves. Some limits should also be placed on campaign contributions to limit excessive influence by special interests and corporate entities. It is also vital that the State not become a tool to impose religious beliefs in schools or other public settings and that limited use of eminent domain is acceptable for public projects like roads and schools, but inappropriate for private projects like shopping malls or condominiums.
Government should regulate speech, press, media, Internet, and property rights at its own discretion within reason as needed to meet all of government's many obligations.
2. Guns The Second Amendment only applies to "militias" (such as the National Guard), and thus there is no specific protection afforded by it to individuals. It should be up to the government to decide the degree to which guns should be regulated for the public good.
The Second Amendment to the Constitution clearly protects the right of all individuals to bear arms. Government regulation of guns is a violation of the Second Amendment. Having the right to self-defense is meaningless without also having the means to defend yourself. An armed society is a peaceful society, is the best defense against criminals, and serves as a deterrent against government tyranny. Gun control has encouraged society to become lax and negligent in teaching and training on the safe handling and maintenance of weapons by individuals.
In general, I support the right to bear arms. However, it is prudent to have government regulate arms via registration requirements and other regulations to ensure that mentally unstable people can't get guns and go on shooting rampages.
Gun control is essential and must continually be made stronger if we're ever going to reduce and hopefully eliminate gun violence in this country.
3. Homosexual Marriage Gay rights should be supported by passing laws which protect gay marriage, including civil statute alternatives to gay marriage. All government benefits that heterosexual couples enjoy should also be granted to gay couples.
The government should define civil unions and the legal ramifications and rights attached to such constructs based on scientific study. "Marriage", being a religious concept, has no place in legal structures, and attempting to legislate morality is inefficient.
There should be no laws regarding either heterosexual or homosexual relationships among consenting adults. Marriage of any kind is a private, contractual matter between free, private individuals that should not be regulated.
Homosexuality is an abomination and is banned by the Bible. Gay marriage should be illegal in all cases.
4. Foreign Policy A strong defense requires playing an active, interventionist role in world affairs. As the last remaining superpower, we have a moral duty to police the world at any cost, or else we will surely pay the ultimate price. If we don't militarily wipe out terrorism, the terrorists will wipe us out. We must resolve to win no matter how long it takes. It's better to strike now than to pay later for our inaction.
America should play an active role in world affairs. We need to move toward more world government, particularly when it comes to issues such as global warming. The war on terror should rely heavily on diplomatic action. Military intervention should be used when there is a threat to our sovereignty.
The role of government is to administer, direct and control the nation. Foreign policy, and the use of our military forces, should always be primarily focused (in order of importance) on defending the nation from external threats , ensuring internal threats are neutralized, and promoting a stable world society.
Peace, commerce and honest friendship with all nations; entangling alliances with none. America's interventionist policies over the past 100+ years have done little or nothing to reduce international instability, have led us into an endless series of wars, and have cost us dearly in American lives and money. The best defense of our borders is to defend our rights and liberty, not to sacrifice them while constantly growing our gigantic military, led by a parade of Presidents who repeatedly stick our nose into other countries' affairs.
5. National ID Card There should be no national ID card. Period. The issuance of required National IDs controlled via interconnected databases will effectively end all privacy in this country.
We need a national ID card in order to prevent events like the attacks of 9/11 but without intruding too far into the personal privacy of the innocent.
National ID cards should be permitted but greatly restricted in scope because the potential for danger to personal liberty is present.
I'm not at all concerned about having a national ID card. Only the guilty need to worry.
6. Corporate Welfare The government has a significant role in regulating the market and should regulate corporations and have state-owned corporations, if necessary.
End "corporate welfare." No government handouts to business.
Government involvement is necessary where private industry can't do the job all by itself. As an example, agricultural subsidies should continue to support small farmers.
Corporate welfare should be eliminated for big business, but the social safety net for individuals should be retained.
7. Trade and Money Trade that isn't fair isn't free. Fair trade practices should be enforced as needed to ensure free trade while maintaining reasonably open borders. The Fed's policies should be revised to help the poor rather than the rich.
The government should involve itself in the regulation of trade as needed to ensure a healthy economy at all times. The Federal Reserve system has made our money supply the most stable in all history.
End government barriers to international free trade. The regulation of trade tends to enrich selected interest groups and industry captains at the expense of everyone else. We must move away from the inflationary approach of the Federal Reserve by re-adopting a hard money approach and dissolving the Federal Reserve system. Ever wonder why prices of everything (including real estate) keep going up over time? The Federal Reserve system is the culprit.
Trade should be free in general, but it should be controlled as needed to ensure that our borders are protected against outside threats. Monetary policy under the Fed has generally been good for our economy. Hard money can't keep up with a modern economy.
8. Social Security Social Security should be maintained by the government as-is for current and near retirees, while offering younger workers the choice to invest some of their retirement money in the private market from Government-maintained and managed plans. The government should create incentives for private retirement planning. The government should discourage taking social security early. Payroll taxes should not be increased to fund social security.
Social Security is a vital part of the social safety net and should be properly funded and protected at all times. If necessary, make big business and the rich pay for any shortfalls.
Government has an obligation to provide for it's citizens , both those who are disabled and those who are retired. Social security is the proper expression of government control, but as with any program of such size must be constantly adjusted to ensure a lack of corruption and that it is funded correctly. If need be, the balance should be made to those who cannot provide for themselves rather than those who simply have not chosen to provide for themselves.
Let people control their own retirement and they'll retire richer and better off. The Social Security system is already bankrupt, despite what the politicians and bureaucrats keep telling us. Allow individuals to choose for themselves whether to opt out of the Social Security system. If we force everyone to remain in its pyramid scheme, the end result will be disastrous. We must act now before Social Security becomes completely insolvent.
9. Health Care Government regulation of health care is the main cause of the health care industry's upward spiraling costs. The FDA, EPA, Medicare, and a host of other bureaucracies have created mountains of regulations that have led to the deaths of thousands and even millions of people who were denied needed treatments and resources. The cost of creating new treatments is also out of control because of this regulation. The only way to make health care affordable again is to get government out of the health care business.
Health care costs are spiraling primarily due to lawsuits. We need to place caps on these suits while avoiding socialized medicine. Where possible, we should reduce regulation to save money. The rising cost of health care is primarily the fault of big government politicians and lobbying groups.
We need universal health insurance to ensure all Americans are adequately protected. Insurance companies' and drug companies' greed, lack of competition among insurance providers, and patent protections on life-saving drugs must be combated. The government should ensure that no one is denied the right to life-saving medical care because of the inability to pay for it. Use antitrust legislation and enforcement to ensure competition.
Private enterprise has failed to deliver satisfactory health care. Government's role is clear: fix the problem.
10. Taxes, Spending, and the National Debt There should be no limits placed on the ability of government to raise sufficient revenue to do all the jobs government should be doing better, as expressed via majority rule.
Cut taxes and government spending by 50% or more. This will have an incredibly positive impact on the economy starting at its very lowest and smallest levels. The national debt must be paid down rather than endlessly increased, or we'll soon face national bankruptcy.
The budget should be balanced and fully funded at all times, rather than actually cutting spending on a permanent basis. As needed, the national debt should be expanded to ensure that there is sufficient funding for government operation and military growth needs. Occasional, temporary tax cuts should be offered in token amounts to keep the taxpayers mollified.
We should be emphasizing the good that government can do to help people without getting all wrapped up in the costs involved. By spreading the load, such good can be spread out fairly and evenly. Progressive taxation helps ensure that the rich don't live at the expense of the poor. However, we want to make sure we don't place too much of a burden on the middle class.

Conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly endorses Donald Trump

03-17-2016  •  Washington Times

Donald Trump has won the endorsement of Phyllis Schlafly, the second grande dame of American conservatism to support the Republican presidential nomination front-runner.

Mrs. Schlafly, a leader of a national movement of conservative women for more than 50 years, joined Faith Whittlesey, another longtime conservative activist and leader, in publicly backing the businessman and reality TV star.

Author of the 1964 pro-Barry Goldwater book "A Choice Not an Echo" and founder of both the Eagle Forum and the Republican National Coalition for Life, Mrs. Schlafly on Sunday praised Mr. Trump for his stands on trade, immigration and judicial appointment commitments, as well as on his promise to support the 2012 GOP platform which she helped fashion.

"I asked Donald Trump to support the Republican platform because this is the best and most conservative platform we've ever had," Mrs. Schlaflysaid. "I gave him one of my copies of the 2012 platform. He endorses it and I believe he will stand by it.

"We Are Freeing Ourselves" by Ernest Hancock

Postby ldsff » Mon Nov 03, 2008 6:38 pm

The General Election of November 4th 2008 will inform us once again that government has won. While the color, race, religion and gender of the faces may change, the body, mind, and spirit of government will remain the same. But, _We_ have changed.

The common understanding that Americans once had that government was to be a carefully watched servant that had no access to our peaceful private affairs has been supplanted. What was once a beacon to every individual on (and possibly off) the planet, has devolved into an oppressor of mankind. The tyrannical regime that stomps in the halls of power throughout every government uses both their left and right jackboots of their "Jackboot on your Throat Parties/Regimes" to enslave us,… and they are not going away voluntarily.

In just the last few days before this election I have been stunned by several comments made from individuals that I thought much more immune to the standard manipulations of the political process. If I had to generalize, I would say that those over 30 are the most susceptible to fear and doubt. Younger individuals that have matured along with the Internet have had their minds formatted to think more logically. Reason and logic (critical thinking) has been reintroduced into our culture through the minds of the young who have had their brains organized differently than those in power would have preferred. Expected reactions to traditional emotional stimulus aren't as effective as they once were. So the stimulus is increased. The threat will be more immediate and dire and the perpetrators more different and foreign (get ready for interstellar war propaganda).

Predictions of scenarios that we may be faced with aren't difficult if you have a fundamental understanding of government as an entity in and of itself. Whenever I am asked my opinion about the likelihood of any number of dramas played out in the media that will result in the increased power, scope and intrusiveness of government I always default to the understanding that "if they can,… they will".

To think that our government (and government in general for that matter) has some sense of moral restraint demonstrates that you have not been paying attention. Lying and Cheating and Stealing and Killing are all justified tactics in the effort to maintain and enhance the power of government to do the "good" that exists only in the minds of those in power. And I have to wonder how this can be soooo clearly demonstrated over decades and some Americans can't be convinced that Election Fraud should be a primary concern for those that think voting is an effective tool. If election fraud _can_ be done, IT IS being done.

I have participated heavily in the political process every year since 1990 as a seeker of truth. Each of us has our own circumstances that prompted us to 'question authority', and each of us have a unique perspective on the world. Individual experiences, talents, personalities and circumstances create their own opportunities for each of us to have an impact on our environment.

Those that choose to educate their friends, family and community about the truth of things are often helped by me, my family and my friends without regard to government reported vote totals. A freed mind is a vey powerful thing,… and the Bad Guys know it. This is why so much effort goes into the marketing of government through the media and the Public Education System.

It is November 3rd 2008. The history of the Presidential election of 2008 in the United States of America will be written by the millions of people that lived it, now more than at any other time in human history. Videos of media ignored events, pictures of whole families directly involved and testimonies of individuals of _all_ types detailing what really happened will all blend to make clear the reasons WHY there was a revolution. The revolution may not be televised, but,… it has been Internet documented in its entirety.

Revolutions don't always have to be violent, but they do have to be clearly defined to be successful. Fighting against something can never be as successful as winning a conflict in support of a popular cause. What has pleased me the most over this last election cycle is the clarity of what was being supported.

I am convinced that the "Spin" on the election results of 2008 will have the least effect on the truth of what happened than any other election that I am aware of. The unfiltered direct communication that each of us has had with each other in real time has changed our perception of the world and how it works. And any attempt to 're-educate' us as to what we personally experienced will only add to our experiences and further inoculate us against further mind manipulations.

We have all taken great steps towards a much brighter future. While many are most concerned with the changing of institutions and the circumstances around them, I focus on individuals. When the freeing of minds is your primary goal, the evil that is done by those that would enslave minds can be a very persuasive example of what needs to change and why.

I've always been very supportive of the Declaration of Independence as a representation of humanity's possibilities. And the further we have slipped from the idea that any justification for any government is the defense of a peaceful individual to be left alone, the further we devolve culturally and spiritually. I do not fear Humanity,… I fear Government and its effect on the growth of each of us into the individual entities that we are capable of being.

The controversy that is certain to follow the elections of 2008 can be a distraction, or a tool for individual growth. As you look back over the last couple of years, I hope you are able to realize how much you have grown as a person and can remember how many others you have helped enlighten. I don't know how someone can unlearn the truth once it is experienced. Many millions around the world have recently learned the language of "liberty" and the world will never be the same.

No matter how bad our circumstances may get, in the long run I have great hope for the human race. At every level and on every part of the Earth there are more of us coming to the realization that freedom is the best answer to any question that we can conjure. Experiences with an unimaginable number of controls have prompted enough of us to understand that it is the effort to control other's peaceful behavior that is the source of much evil in our lives. This is a very powerful revelation that is increasingly embraced by individuals,… and feared by collectives.

I can't think of any collective that's bigger than a family that isn't sustained by force or threat of force (Jail, Hell, whatever) and families generally grow and evolve into more independent families. And I suspect that the trend for mankind will be towards smaller and smaller collectives until no coercive collective is tolerated for any length of time.

Whenever I need encouragement, I go to my computer and search for the latest news in three categories,… Communication, Transportation and Energy. This past weekend (just before the November 4th 2008 elections) you will have noticed that these 'categories' got some extra attention here onhttp://www.FreedomsPhoenix.com. I focus on these Top 3 because they represent individual empowerment.

Communication: Speech, Written Language, Printing Press, Telephone, Telegraph, Radio, Television, Satellite, Internet.

Transportation: Animals, the Wheel, Watercraft, Train, Automobile, Aircraft, Spacecraft.

Energy: Fire, Water, Wind, Steam, Hydrocarbons, Nuclear, Solar, ('Fill in the Blank' coming soon).

Progress in each of these areas of human endeavor has netted us more freedom. And it is this very reason that we can understand the desire for governments to control our access to these advancements.

Sooner than we all think, government will be seen by our grandchildren the same as printed newspapers,… antiquated and irrelevant.

Eventually, the option to live autonomously as a family in your 20,000 sq.ft' self contained starship luxury home that you and your wife build with supplies from Starship Depot is coming. A year's worth of work that you did traveling around the world during you 20 hour work week in your mach 20 'whatever mobile' will provide you a comfortable life with friends that span the Solar System.

Had it not been for the crushing effect of coercive government, we would already have attained a far more advanced civilization technologically, intellectually, spiritually and emotionally. And the bright future of our children and grandchildren is continually being stunted by human parasites that have managed to steal from them before they are even born. For these crimes there is always a reckoning.

This is where we are heading. The trend towards the elimination of rulers and con-artists and bullies is obvious. This has been the direction we have been heading for millennia, no matter how much effort has been expelled to stop this evolution/r3VOLution.

"But what about the roads", you say?...
Where we're going, there aren't any roads,… or coercive government.
