I know people from all over read Freedom\'s Phoenix news so if you happen to live in Western Wisconsin or happen to be in the area and want to get ideas for your own state please join us. Tribune Press Reporter | 8/12/09/Glenwood City, WI Open Carry picniuc August 23 To promote awareness of open carry rights in Wisconsin, a picnic will be held at the St. Croix County Fairgrounds in Glenwood City on Sunday, August 23 from noon to 4p.m. The sponsors of the picnic are using this means to inform the public about the open carry laws in the state. With the theme of "An armed society is a polite society" the sponsors will provide: BBQ on a bun, beans, coleslaw, dessert, and refreshments. The event is free, however, a free will offering will be accepted and everyone is welcome to bring a dish to pass. Side arms are welcome, but not required to attend. All state legislators from Western Wisconsin have been invited to attend and there will be a short program at 1pm for elected officials and invited guests to address the group.
