Crisis in the Church: A response

To the preachers, priests, cardinals, bishops, ministers, padres, guardians of the temple gates and other designations of Christian religious nobility,

It is not the usual list of suspects that gets routinely and repetitively dragged up and thrown out before the public by ministers and preachers that are responsible for organized Christianity\'s decline in America.  Rather it is the plank in your own eye.

It is the overt, nay, enthusiastic hypocrisy that is on perpetual display by the ministry throughout the nation. Aren\'t you supposed to be the good guys?

Certainly SOME atheists openly and enthusiastically bother to mock God, Jesus and your religion.  So what?  Aren\'t you big enough to take words? Aren\'t you secure enough in your faith to avoid taking their bait? Or do they represent a useful resource to rally your flock and rape their wallets?

Other socialists on the list disturb your agendas with their own because you both are competing for the same resources: stolen taxpayer dollars and legislative favors.

Just as the socialists and others have represented useful idiots for you to manipulate your congregation, the preachers and priests have always represented useful tools to those who rule since before the written word.  The Bible is replete with stories and warnings of such.  Governments are always on the lookout for a good source of a  motivated and controlled mass of people.  Who better than members of churches. Ostensibly decent, honest people who can present a rehearsed public perception useful in these days of controlled mass market media driving authoritarian control over the entire population.  As long as their preacher can keep them in line.

And as long as those who rule can keep the preacher on the plantation.

So they took over your charities with welfare, and not only did you let them, you applauded them.

And those on welfare, who previously accomplished much on your charities eventually becoming self sufficient, are now dependent upon authority for their lives for the rest of their lives.

So they offered you a tax break, and you took it because they promised you could keep more of your money and you did initially ---  and all you had to give up was control over your tongue.

Now your tongue can say whatever you wish as long as it does not go against the commands of those who keep you on the reservation.

Because to use that tongue against them is to invite seizure of your assets, your church, your liberty and your life.  And so your congregation is hostage to your having knowledge with the beast.  You support the wholesale slaughter of innocents around the globe by your masters in their pillaging.  You support the shipment of your constituents\' children overseas to do the slaughtering.  You support your constituent\'s faithfully discharging their earning to the state for its bidding.  You applaud the seizing of private property for the state\'s "common good." Where in the past the pulpit served to rally the flock to rise up and fight this oppression, you now are the Judas goat leading them to be sheered and eventually slaughtered.

Your compromised position is all out in the open, available for anyone to clearly see once they have removed that splinter from their eye.  Is it any wonder they have drifted away?

The solution is to thine own self be true.  You cannot serve God, while coveting another master (several actually). You cannot serve others while being occupied by the authorities.  You cannot serve yourself while being a slave.  Until you free yourself you cannot expect to inspire others to do the same.

Excellent, Powell. The problem - lies squarely at the feet of the "preachers."

Isaiah 56:10-12: His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.

Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.

Come ye, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and to morrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant.

The people will not be rescued because they followed the voice of these evil deceivers. The people must rise up and take responsibility for their own evil ways.
