The 2nd Amendment doesn't matter regarding firearms. Remember what all Amendments were. They were an addition by the first 13 States before they would ratify the Constitution. The Amendment that has been upheld all this time without much if any flack, is the 4th Amendment. Do you own the AR-15 in question? If you do, it isn't an AR-15 any longer, because it is private property. Unless government can show ownership of you or your private property, they have no authority over your private property, provided you haven't done any harm or damage with it. The trick that you use when they refer to your private property as an AR-15 is, "Cf." it - https://www.law.cornell.edu/wex/cf. Make the statement that all talk that you do about your private property is Cf. with regard to your private property. That means that there might be some similarities to an AR-15, but it is your private property, not an AR-15.
Even if not they are protected by Natural Law... Americans at one time understood very well that our rights did not come from the Bill of rights or the government.
