James Corbett - The Corbett Report

Bush was right: The constitution really is just a piece of paper. So what does this mean in the age of the corona crisis, as some turn to those pieces of paper to protect the last shreds of their privacy and even their bodily autonomy?

The constitution really is just a piece of paper. REMEMBER THIS. But think about the more important thing - the Oath of Office. Jokers in office have taken the Oath to uphold the Piece of Paper. And this doesn't mean to lift a copy above their heads. It means that they above all people need to obey it, and to see that it is obeyed by everyone who has taken the Oath. Who must take the Oath? For sure every elected and appointed government official. But maybe even the lowly garbage collector who works for government. And everybody in between, including military personnel. Who doesn't have to take the Oath? The general public who is not in governmental office, or employed directly by government.
