Shades of ST:TOS "A Piece of the Action". A book left behind 100 years ago by the starship Horizon is taken literally - too literally -- in fact way way way way way too literally. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Piece_of_the_Action_(Star_Trek:_The_Original_Series)

Very good points. A Bible is a revelation, not The Revelation. I'm reminded that the ten commandments were written in stone, but Jesus summarized them into love god and lone each other. Whereas Judaism expanded them into a library of obscure legalisms.

Here is video 1 of 5 in a series by Michael Rood called "The Jonah Code". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yAKgRyYfeko There is a great deal of Hebrew, Christian, and world history in the 9-hour series. He touches on "The Great Commandment" mentioned by Jesse Porter.
