ESPN May Finally Be Ready to Kill the Cable Bundle
• http://www.wired.comThis was a rough year for cable as viewers keep cutting the cord. But sports, long the lynchpin of live television, kept those stupidly expensive cable packages going. It won't last forever.
For the first time I had SlingTV this year for college football season. Pretty much 95% of the games were on ESPN or EPSN2. Sign up easy, cancelling after five months easy. The only time I care about TV. $80 for 4 months. I even watched games on my cell phone a few times--most recently while getting my flat tire patched--which worked well.
Now if I could only watch 4 games at once split screened on my TV.
