Did you expect anything different?  Do recall the photographic evidence the riotous provocateurs were wearing police-issue boots? The goon squads are supposed to wreak havoc and inflict violence and mayhem. They certainly wouldn't be punished for following orders.  I imagine some of the brutes in uniform received some nice perks for their "public service".

 Remember, the justice system is designed to police and punish "just us" and never hold "them" accountable.  God helps those who help themselves.  Don't be domesticated like chickens! Get wild, live free or die!
