Getting it Right This Time
Mike RenzulliVoting Republican is the most libertarian activity one can do this year and the reality is that this election will determine not only which party will control Congress but determine a future of self reliance or dependence.
Let's see; pro-war, pro-drug war, pro spending, pro deficit, anti-civil liberties . . . yup I can see the attraction.
Powell, you are assuming that in terms of politics people act rationally. Politics IS NOT based on rationality. Like Thomas Sowell once said, what matters is not what the facts are. What matters is what people BELIEVE. This and plus also the fact that many have to vote defensively is why the Libertarian Party will not only never be a major party but will only play the role of spoiler which will do tremendous damage to the cause it claims to further. The way to change politics is the change the overall culture. Trying to do so via the soapbox of electoral politics is a losing proposition and will not work.

Yes, I am such a Republican tool even after having said this: "There really is no lesser evil in this election and if there was I might vote Libertarian or only vote on ballot questions."
