Arizonians - beware of this clause:
[the proposed law] would now require individuals carrying a concealed gun to notify a law-enforcement officer that they are carrying if they are pulled over for a traffic stop. It also would allow the officer to take temporary custody of the gun during a stop.
This clause the difference between Alaska-style carry law and Vermont-style carry law (which has no requirements for disarmament or notification at all). Many in the gun rights movement are vehemently against Alaska-style carry laws, to the point where they would rather not have license-free concealed carry than what Alaska has.
