No sanctions for lawyers who OK'd torture
• APBush administration lawyers who drafted legal theories that led to waterboarding and other harsh treatment of terrorism suspects showed poor judgment but won't face sanctions for professional misconduct, according to a published report.
If they don't sanction the ones whose orders they were following, why would they be sanctioned? Not that I like it but the clean-up should start at the top not the bottom. These lawyers were just pawns, Cheney and Bush were the real masterminds here (and, yeah, I use the word "mastermind" losely when referring to the Shrub)
