Oh, joy!  I can just see it now...the nutters making their own guns which backfire on them, that's gonna be one way to quash that problem with their own bullets.  This is going to be fun!

Red,

If you would like to better understand what is going on with this legislation, you should start by reading the USSC case that is at the nadir of Interstate Commerce analysis; Wickard v. Filburn 317 U.S. 111, 121 (1942).

Then go to http://firearmsfreedomact.com/ to become better educated on this particular gambit.

On many fronts, the national government has used Interstate Commerce as a bludgeon, to reduce the several States, and by extension, each person under their claimed jurisdiction, to the status of serfs.

This legislation is a modest effort to challenge the national government to follow one small provision of what THEY allege to be a solemn, and bi-laterally binding contract.  They will, of course, REFUSE.

But each time the mask is ripped away by THEIR HUBRIS, a few more people are freed from believing the "government" myth.

One-by-one we move towards the tipping point of a Failed State, where our leaders are revealed to all to be nothing more than a bloodthirsty criminal syndicate.  They ALL are.

And therein lies hope for human liberty.

Eric

Mr. Andreason, I think we've tried with Lucky Red (and failed). He's our own little troll. And he's not too bad as far as trolls go. He has a snappy sense of humour (sometimes he really hits a zinger) and at least 30% of the time his criticisms are accurate. I recommend indulging Lucky Red like a dottering old grandfather. An indulgent dottering old grandfather of a young and vindictive imp who will trip you down the stairs or re-arrange all the medications in your prescription bottles for fun.

Back to topic.

I long for this legislation to be passed. I want Arizona to be the first state where you can sell home made ammo but NOT A HOME MADE CUPCAKE.

CALLING ALL GOURMANDIERS, CONFECTIONIERS, TO ALL YOU GRANDMAS WITH SECRET OATMEAL COOKIE RECIPIES AND THE GUY THAT GOT BUSTED FOR SELLING BISCUITS AND GRAVY: OUR SALVATION IS AT HAND!

This legislation will clear the path for our eventual vindication.
