I didn't read the article but I can only hope and pray that your title is a self-accusatory one.

'Tis always best to judge an insult by its source.

So in this case, it sits rather, ah,  lightly.

For Mr. Wooldridge's arguments to make sense, technology (and productivity) would need to remain stagnant. This is not the case. He makes the same mistake British Economist Thomas Robert Malthus made in 1798 when he wrote An Essay on the Principle of Population. The Ultimate Resource by Julian Simon (available through Laissez Faire Books at LFB.org) gives a thorough refutation of these ideas.

The problem is not the amount of resources available, but how they are allocated. (It doesn't matter if we are discussing water, energy, food, or any other resource. The same principle applies.) If resources are allocated coercively, Mr. Wooldridge is correct; we are headed off a cliff. However, if allocated cooperatively, the market automatically solves the problem.

As a commodity becomes more scarce (as supply falls behind demand), the Law of Supply and Demand causes the price to rise. The higher price encourages supply and discourages demand until they approach balance.

People unfamiliar with this concept might consider reading Economics in One Lesson by Henry Hazlitt.

Mr. Wooldridge is totally ignorant of the fact that the world in which we presently live is in the hands of Satan, the master deceiver Himself. Disease, famine, war, is all engineered by the agents of Satan.... the handful of global manipulators who are now in charge of absolutely everything. Man-made pandemics, chemtrails, weather control warfare etc. are soom of the tools used to kill off the people.Frosty, get with the program. It is calcultaed that this planet could comfortably provide a most noble life to 38 billion people. Oh and another thing.... we will not run out of oil for another century, will not use any more coal, and there is no panic to rush to alternate green energy sources. Global warming is a lie. It nothing more than the foundation for another elite club (such as NASA) that has devised a way to collect 200 billion dollars a year for their own clubhouse membership. Frosty, I'm disappointed in you. I thought you were in the know. Trade you bike in for some books on truth.

Most Americans stupid as a box of rocks as to everything period!  The US for being so modern and advanced and powerful and rich and what not, hosts the most ignorant population in the entire world as evidenced by the fact that 85% of its citizens still believe in invisible dudes up in the sky granting wishes...and that's just for starters, it gets much, much worse after that.
