Frosty, here's the problem: present day humans are descended from those humans who survived in the past long enough to breed. This has produced a population that contains around 5% natural leaders of hunter-gatherer groups. Another word for these natural leaders is "psychopath." Another large portion of the human population consists of natural followers, sometimes called "sheeple." These leaders and followers in the modern world, no longer in hunter-gatherer groups, but in national populations, with modern technology and modern military capability, produce all of the symptoms you describe. Unless and until we wise up to this situation and find solutions for the problems it creates, we will continue to see the continued progress toward a Hell on Earth. The geniuses who wrote the Constitution tried to prevent this, but have obviously failed.
