Also while this is a rather strange, late flu season for the USA it is still flu season for Central & South America (and the southern part of Mexico).
This is troubling, but I suspect this strain will die off in the next two weeks never to be seen again.
Maybe it`s a good time to close the boarders,or! could it be a good time for our enemies,to keep it open?
You cannot close the borders on influenza (or apparently on people). It is transported by birds, and infects a wide variety of animals.
