My Heroes Of History
Chuck BaldwinI am often asked about the people in history that I revere or otherwise hold in high esteem. Today's column is an attempt to answer that question.

Teddy Roosevelt?
Pretty simple: Henning von Treskow, Wilhelm Canaris, Franz Stock, Jim Garrison, John Kennedy, Nikita Kruschev, Robert E. Lee, Lord Acton, George Orwell, Harry Browne. Most people name the big boys who loved to kill people, and happen to have been "on our side" of the killing. What about the people who stood up to a corrupt and predatory system, against overwhelming odds? www.shoenforcongress.com
What a list of criminals and bastards! David? The son of a bitch's "moral lapse" was adultery and murder. Baldwin, I assume, is a Bill Clinton fan. Why should anybody make a hero of a man who so grievously misused his position of power. Bullies are not fit to live, no matter whose holy book they might be in. The list goes on; one lousy power-misusing creep after another. My heroes are Rosa Parks, Lenny Bruce, George Carlin and John Lennon.
Chuck: John Wayne was not a real person. His real name was Marion somebody and all his movies were scripted fantasies. Drag yourself out of the big money-induced cinematic fog and celluloid drug culture. It is not too late to turn off the TV and renounce movie theaters.
