It's getting to be time.

For the past year, ATF Phx. Special Agent-in-Charge Newell has been posing for any camera that will show up with short, stubby "Krinkov" AK47s that ATF say originated here and were sent to Mexico. Assuming these are among the 650 AK47s mentioned in regard to this case,...then X-caliber sold only parts kits (dismembered and deactivated guns) to these 2 Mexican nationals, who may have themselves rebuilt them into select-fire machineguns and delivered them to the cartel. Intact and functional Krinkovs are not sold through regular gun shops, as they are sold only through another special kind of dealer, licensed by ATF, which are at another level of the supply chain for such things. ATF, by their nature, will not tell the truth to the press about this, instead telling things in whatever way most tittilates and tantalizes the media to tap to their tune. We will have to wait for the attorneys to speak to the press to find out what's REALLY going on.
