Asia/Pacific Threatened by China?

by Stephen Lendman

Throughout most of the post-WW II period, both right wings of the US war party invented nonexistent threats to throw trillions of dollars at the nation's merchants of death and human misery.

Russia, China, Iran and other invented enemies prioritize peace, stability, cooperative relations with other nations and compliance with international law.

Their ruling authorities threaten no other nations — except in self-defense if attacked, the UN Charter right of all countries.

As a previous article stressed, US military commanders earn stars from war-making.

Peace and stability are detrimental to their career advancement.

So is favoring cooperative relations with nations on the US invented enemies list.

Last March, Pentagon Indo/Pacific Command head, Admiral John Aquilino, falsely warned of a nonexistent threat by China to attack Taiwan.

Hegemon USA has "to be prepared at all times" to counter this and other invented threats, he roared, adding:

"We have to make sure we are prepared should any actions get taken."

And this hyperventilating by Aquilino:

China's hypersonic weapons are for "offense (sic), not defens(e) (sic).

"That capability that could be applied against any partner in the region (sic)."

Unlike hegemon USA's unparalleled threat to world peace and stability, China threatens no one.

The only "security challenge" in the Asia/Pacific and worldwide is posed by the empire of lies and its NATO vassals — not China, Russia, Iran or other nations on the US target list for regime change for refusing to sell their sovereignty and souls to a higher power in Washington.

Last month in testimony before the House Subcommittee on Defense of its Committee on Appropriations, Aquilino falsely accused China, Russia and North Korea of posing "serious risks to the US" and its vassal states (sic).

Most often when US military commanders address congressional committees, it's with wanting more tens of billions of dollars worth of weapons et al in mind — to "defend the homeland" against nonexistent enemies.

Aquilino's testimony last month followed the longstanding pattern — ignoring that no nations threaten the US, none throughout the post-WW II period, none today.

On Friday, Aquilino was at it again — falsely accusing China of threatening the empire of lies, the West and Asia/Pacific by a "no-limits" partnership with Russia, adding:

"If those two nations were to truly demonstrate and deliver a no-limits policy, I think what that means is we're currently in an extremely dangerous time and place in the history of humanity, if that were to come true (sic)."

Military spending by China and Russia combined last year was around $300 billion, according to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute.

Including virtually open-ended black budgets and other categories related to militarism, war-making and the Pentagon's empire of well over 1,000 bases worldwide, hegemon USA spends over five-fold more annually than China and Russia combined.

Ignoring the above reality, Aquilino falsely accused China of "the largest military build-up" of any nation since WW II ended.

He defied reality as well by falsely claiming that China threatens US-controlled Guam, adding:

"Guam has a 360-degree threat (sic)."

"So our ability to defend it and to be able to operate from there is absolutely critical."

"I won't have any timeline so I could see a continuous improvement and a continuous threat, and what that leads me to to do is to move with a sense of urgency (sic)."

Last week, the Biden regime's so-called national security advisor, Sullivan, called for a forceful response to Russia's SMO in Ukraine.

Perhaps he had launching WW III in mind on two fronts — against the Russian Federation and China.

Like other Pentagon commanders, Aquilino wants more money for what's euphemistically called national defense — code language for perpetual war-making by hot and other means against invented enemies.

Longstanding US-dominated NATO policy is in sharp contrast to how China and Russia operate — threatening no other nations.

Russia's SMO in the US-controlled territory called Ukraine is all about self-defense from the scourge it represents, along with liberating Donbass entirely from Nazified occupation.

China poses no threat to the US, regional or other nations.

Hegemon USA represents an unparalleled threat to everyone everywhere.
