New Year, Same Old Hegemon USA Menace

by Stephen Lendman

New year or old, hegemon USA is an unparalleled menace to everyone yearning to breathe free at home and abroad.

It's notably been this way since the 9/11 mother of all false flags to that time.

Hellishness took a giant leap forward after garden variety flu got a scary new name two years ago and unspeakable horrors that followed.

At the dawn of a new year, the threat of greater US war on humanity looms large because both wings of its war party seek unchallenged global dominance by whatever it takes to achieve their diabolical aims.

At home, democracy for the few is the law of the land. It's been this way from inception, more than ever now.

The US ruling class tolerates governance of, by and for everyone equitably nowhere.

Nations ruled this way are targeted for regime change, wanting subservient to US interests ruler/serf societies replacing them.

As a boy, Ralph Nader once told his dad that the US needs a third political party.

"I'll settle for a second," his dad responded.

As an adult, Nader said that "(t)hat the only difference between Republicans and (what I call undemocratic Dems) is the velocity with which their knees hit the floor when corporations knock on their door."

US/Western governance serves wealth, power and privileged interests exclusively at the expense of all others.

The "supreme law of the land" deters no president or sitting government from doing as they wish, law or no law.

Hegemon USA is governed largely by duplicitous, self-serving privileged men, not laws.

Believing otherwise is delusional fantasy.

The law of the land is what the nation's rich, well born and able say it is.

It's been this way since the nation's 1776 founding.

So-called revolutionary change left things in place intact under new management.

Members of the US ruling class lie, connive, misinterpret and pretty much operate ad libitum in discharging their duties as they see fit for themselves and cronies.

The nation's Bill of Rights was enacted in 1791 to serve privileged interests exclusively.

The 1913 Federal Reserve Act empowered Wall Street to control the nation's money — the supreme power over all others.

The aim of the federal income tax established the same year was to make ordinary Americans pay interest to bankers to more greatly enrich them.

As long as private interests control the nation's money, debt entrapment will continue – along with booms, busts, inflation, deflation, instability and crises.

The mother of all financial ones looms because Wall Street created the mother of all stock market  bubbles.

From inception to now, the US advanced from chattel to wage slavery, Jim Crow to its modern-day version, freedom to mass incarceration, and fantasy democracy to tyranny on a fast track toward becoming full-blown in a nation unsafe and unfit to live in.

"We the people" means wealth, power and privilege.

Ordinary people at home and abroad are exploited to serve them.

Throughout US history, names and faces alone changed.

Dirty business as usual continues like always before — for higher stakes today than earlier.

Today's USA is pockmarked by endless wars on humanity at home and abroad, criminality in governance and corporate suites, rampant injustice for ordinary people, fantasy elections to maintain continuity, erosion of social justice and police state rule.

Binding international law was replaced by "rules-based order" — reversing the rule of law.

The nation's supreme law of the land, its Constitution, is just a "goddamned piece of paper, GW Bush once notoriously said.

Jefferson didn't think the nation's supreme law of the land would stand the test of time.

He called for a new constitutional convention every 20 years to update it, correct its flaws and enforce it.

As US envoy to France when colonized America broke from UK control, he left unexplained that the nation's framers were bankers, merchants, slave-owners, and other profiteers — a Wall Street crowd by today's standards.

Colonial era lawyer Daniel Leonard said at the time:

"Never in history had there been so much rebellion with so little real cause."

The nation's first president, George Washington, had no party affiliation, ran unopposed twice, and was unanimously selected, not elected — a process resembling coronation.

Throughout US history, ordinary Americans have had no say over who's chosen to serve in high places, no say over how the nation is run.

Farcical elections when held pretend to reflect the popular will.

Reality is worlds apart from a process amounting to mass deception.

Celebratory New Year's day events conceal the dark reality of governance at war on its ordinary people.

Since seasonal flu underwent a deceptive name change two years ago, the aim US policy has been all about eliminating unwanted segments of society — along with abolishing freedom under social control tyranny.

That's the new abnormal throughout the US/West, its ruling class wanting it spread worldwide.

Never before was so much harm done to so many in a matter of months.

If what's going on isn't challenged, checked and halted, what's gone on will be prelude for much worse ahead in the new year and what follows.

At stake is a choice between protecting and preserving free and open societies v. ruthless subjugation replacing them.

It's between life and diabolical aims to eliminate it for millions and billions of unwanted people worldwide.

It's been the USA I remember growing up long ago — warts and all — and what no one should tolerate now.

It's between a nation safe and fit to live in v. the other way around.

If enough people refuse to comply with health and freedom-destroying mandates in place, the worst of all possible worlds can be avoided.

If passivity and compliance drowns out vitally needed resistance, everything most people hold dear will be lost.

The only viable option needs no elaboration.
