Zero Chance of Hegemon USA Normalizing Relations with Russia

by Stephen Lendman

Where the US goes, European vassal states follow.

It's been this way throughout the post-WW II period — for over 75 years.

While what can't go on forever, won't, reality at this time shows no signs of easing.

The East/West divide is more likely to widen further than pull back from the risk of possible confrontation.

There's no chance that the US will provide security guarantees to any nations free from its control — no chance of normalizing relations with them.

Longstanding US plans target them for regime change, wanting them transformed into subservient vassal states.

Even though its aim since the 19th century failed most often, notably throughout the post-WW II period against one nation after another, it remains hard-wired US policy.

Like history's earlier empires no longer around, hegemon USA failed to understand the price of imperial arrogance.

Vladimir Putin earlier explained it in general terms, saying:

The US is following a self-destructive path similar to what led to the Soviet Russia's dismemberment.

US politicians and bureaucrats resemble Soviet apparatchiks.

They enjoy unrestricted privileges denied to ordinary Americans.

The same goes for high-level Wall Street, Pharma, military industrial complex and other corporate officials.

Since WW II, the US has been perpetually at war on humanity by hot and other means.

Post-9/11 — especially since last year — it's been at war on its own people, a self-defeating strategy longterm.

Institutionalized US inequality is extreme and worsening.

An unacceptable, unsustainable divide between haves and have-nots persists and keeps widening.

Privileged Americans never had things better — at the expense of the great majority, exploited and otherwise ill-served to advance their interests.

Notably in US inner-cities, the state of the nation is characterized by growing poverty, homelessness, food insecurity, hunger, unemployment, underemployment, and overall deprivation.

For countless tens of millions, the US is a wasteland of dystopian harshness, deprivation and despair — at a time rising double-digit inflation, unemployment affecting a fourth of the nation's working class, and underemployment harming most others.

Under the radar, millions of US households struggle to pay rent, service mortgages, cover medical bills, heat homes, and manage other daily expenses.

A largely hidden hunger crisis exists in the world's richest country. Its public health system is targeted for elimination.

Tens of millions of Americans aren't sure where their next meal is coming from, what it'll consist of, or who'll treat them if become seriously ill or injured.

Since the neoliberal 90s, things have gotten progressively worse.

Among developed countries, the US is the most unequal and uncaring about the vast majority of its people.

It has the world's highest incarceration rate by far, exceeding China's and India's, both countries with over four-times the US population.

Its youth poverty exceeds other developed nations.

America ranks last among the world's most well-off countries in terms of labor rights, poverty, safety net protections, wealth, inequality and economic mobility.

The world's richest country doesn't give a damn about the vast majority of its people at a time when they're targeted by kill shots to destroy their health and shorten their lives — combined with policies that aim to transform the world community of nations into ruler/serf societies.

A combination of imperial arrogance, extreme inequality, ruinous military spending, forever wars on humanity, money printing madness and refusal to change its destructive ways heads the US for a fate like Soviet Russia and history's other empires.

On all thing related to Russia and world community of nations overall, the US seeks dominance and exploitation of their people over cooperative relations.

Since its 1917 revolution ended centuries of czarist tyranny, the US has been militantly hostile toward Russia.

There's no prospect of its ruling authorities going another way ahead, no chance of shifting from confrontation short of conflict to cooperative relations with a nation it seeks control over.

Moscow's leading foreign policy expert, Fyodor Lukyanov, said that the US/West is unlikely to accept Russia's proposed security guarantees, adding:

Permitting Ukraine to join NATO "is a real red line" for Moscow.

The Kremlin "perceives any kind of military alignment between Ukraine and the West, not necessarily NATO membership…That is seen here as absolutely unacceptable."

Lukyanov also said that he sees no signs to indicate that Putin wishes to leave the political scene.

"(H)e sees his duty as president not to leave (the festering) problem (with the US-dominated West) for the next leadership."

According to WSJ fake news, Putin "named his price (sic)."

"His goal is Kremlin hegemony over Central and Eastern Europe (sic)…"

"His invasion threat (sic) is a power play to win concessions from Europe and the West (sic)."

Left unexplained by the Journal and other MSM is that Russia wants peace, not war, cooperative relations with other nations, not a hostile made-in-the USA East/West divide.

It wants over a century of US/Western hostility toward Russia for its sovereign independence ended once and for all — normalization with the West replacing what's gone on far too long.

He wants what all nations seek — security over the threat of destructive war.

Hegemon USA has been too hard-wired against Russia for too long to change.

It seeks dominance over other nations, not cooperative relations on a level playing field.

America the beautiful, its self-proclaimed exceptionalism, moral superiority and the indispensable state don't exist.

Its highest of high crimes against humanity at home and abroad exposed the illusion of the above.

Russia and other independent nations know what they're up against in dealing with its ruling regimes.

There's no prospect of this ravenous leopard changing its spots ahead.
