Unwanted Aliens Told Reunion with Kids Depends on Signing Voluntary Deportation Order

by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.org - Home - Stephen Lendman)

The Trump regime is willing to do whatever it takes to deport unwanted immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers - wanting them denied refuge in America, no matter how justifiable their reasons are for coming.

Article I of the 1951 UN Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees calls them:

"A person who owing to a well-founded fear of being persecuted for reasons of race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group or political opinion, is outside the country of their nationality, and is unable to or, owing to such fear, is unwilling to avail him/herself of the protection of that country."

Post-WW II, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) was established to help them.

To gain legal protection, refugees and asylum seekers must:

be outside their country of origin;

fear persecution;

be harmed or fear harm by their government or others;

fear persecution for at least one of the above cited reasons; and

pose no danger to others.

Countless thousands of aliens in America came for reasons cited above. Washington is increasingly inhospitable to them, the Trump regime far more than his predecessors.

According to the , its report picked up by the Hill and other US media, "Central American men separated from their children and held in a detention facility outside Houston are being told they can reunite with their kids at the airport if they agree to sign a voluntary deportation order now, according to one migrant at the facility and two immigration attorneys who have spoken to detainees there."

A man unnamed for his safety said he signed the order "out of desperation…but the truth is I can't go back to Honduras; I need help."

The violence-wracked country is known as Latin America's murder capital. Anthropologist Adrienne Pine, a Honduran expert, documented murders by death squads in the country "run through (its) military and police" - responsible for thousands of killings.

On Saturday, A DHS/HHS fact sheet said parents awaiting deportation can "request that his or her minor child accompany them," adding "many parents have elected to be removed without their children" - a shameful statement.

Parents cherish their children, frantic about forceful separation from them, the Trump regime holding them hostage to get unwanted adults voluntarily agreeing to deportation is the action of a rogue state.

In April, Attorney Jeff Sessions said the Justice Department would criminally prosecute (unwanted) adults in America unlawfully, adding children would be separated from parents taken into custody.

Trump regime mistreatment of unwanted aliens flagrantly violates 8th Amendment protections against "cruel and unusual punishments" - its version of ethnic cleansing, exceeding the harshness of his "Deporter-in-Chief" predecessor.

According to the Texas Tribune, "(m)any immigrant parents have been placed in removal proceedings and some have already been deported without their children."

Trump's immigration policy is one of many examples of indifference to human rights and welfare by his regime, ruthlessly pursuing its aims no matter the harm to countless millions at home and abroad.

If you sign paperwork stating that you are their person, you might get rapid reunion with kids. But you almost certainly will not get the happy ending you were looking for until you stand as a man/woman, and revoke your signature off this paperwork, or until you file other paperwork stating that you were only signing on behalf of a fictitious person that does not really exist.
