Sunday's Presidential Debate: Will Sleaze Be Featured Over the Threat of Nuclear War?

by Stephen Lendman

Video material containing lewd Trump comments released on the eve of Sunday's debate wasn't accidental.

It's part of a sinister pro-Hillary plot, wanting him eliminated as a serious challenger, a way to elevate her to power, ignoring the unprecedented threat she represents - possible nuclear war, risking mass annihilation.

Jill Stein and running mate Ajamu Baraka think "Trump is done (with) literally no chance (to) be president." Others feel the same way, believing things were rigged to anoint Hillary Obama's successor - a disaster awaiting Americans and humanity if empowered.

Sunday's so-called debate (sic) will feature undefined "topics of broad public interest," questions divided between hand-picked likely pro-Hillary "citizen participants," pretending impartiality, and pro-Hillary moderators Martha Raddatz (ABC News) and CNN's Anderson Cooper asking their own.

Think of Sunday's event as part pre-scripted, well-rehearsed, made for television flim flam theater of the absurd, part political lynching - Trump's chances for succeeding Obama vanishing in plain sight.

After months of over-the-top, one-sided, vicious media bashing without letup, he's become more pinata-like than presidential material - whacked so often he's ready to burst wide open, his political ambitions destroyed - power brokers and media scoundrels conspiring against him.

So what's next after tonight? Trump and Hillary will run out the clock over the next month until November 8. A final October 19 debate (sic) is scheduled, its format identical to September 26.

On November 8, federal, state and local elections will be held, the presidential race drawing most attention. Yet from what's been carefully orchestrated, its result appears predetermined - Hillary anointed winner and next head of state before ballots are cast.

What a way to run a country? Expect ritual gloating postmortems, election-rigging airbrushed from after-action reports.

Humanity has great cause for concern. America under Hillary threatens everyone. Squeezing the nuclear trigger at her discretion could launch devastating war - making all previous ones seem inconsequential by comparison.

Thermonuclear war risks everyone going together when we go - incineration our nightmarish fate.

It's uncertain what Trump would do as president - with no public office record to judge him. Hillary's rage for war as first lady, US senator, secretary of state and two-time presidential aspirant leaves no doubt where she stands - militantly anti-world peace and stability!

Is this the type leader voters should trust with head of state powers? Can anyone believe she'll turn a new leaf and govern responsibly - when she never did before?

Defeating her presidential ambitions should be top priority for all Americans. Humanity's fate hangs in the balance.
