Hillary v. Trump: Who's Least Candid?

by Stephen Lendman

No contest! Hillary's entire public career is based on serial lying. She's unindicted for perjury. Nothing she says campaigning is credible - nothing earlier as the most wicked ever first lady, then deplorable US senator and secretary of state.

Her despicable public record is polar opposite her stump promises, willful deception, likely dirtier than ever business as usual if she succeeds Obama - notably subservience to Wall Street, war profiteers, Big Pharma and Monsanto.

The New York Times operates as her virtual press agent, shamelessly promoting her candidacy, inventing stuff to bash Trump, saying she "returned to the campaign trail Thursday…vow(ing) a different approach," quoting her saying:

"I want to close my campaign focused on opportunities for kids and fairness for families" she doesn't give a damn about and never did, not in America or elsewhere

Claiming helping mothers, fathers and children has been her life's work mocks the millions she and husband Bill harmed at home and abroad.

She's running scared, The Times cited its own poll, jointly conducted with CBS, showing she and Trump virtually tied among likely voters.

The Times said little about her ill health, her collapse at the 9/11 Memorial, needing to be dragged into her van, then taken to a Manhattan Metrocare Home Services medical facility purchased for herself to maintain secrecy about her health, falsely calling it daughter Chelsea's apartment.

It's located at The Whitman, 21 E. 26th Street, taking up the entire 4th floor, used for her medical care in Manhattan to avoid public scrutiny if conventionally hospitalized. She bought it for $11 million on the pretext of providing daughter Chelsea with an apartment she's wealthy enough to buy on her own.

On Thursday, Trump, speaking at New York's Economic Club, promised to create 25 million jobs over the next decade, how mostly left unexplained, other than proposing tax cuts for the rich unrelated to jobs creation, saying he'll require allies to pay for US military forces deployed for their defense, promising an undefined "energy revolution," pledging infrastructure modernization, and suggesting he can magically deliver around 4% annual growth in an era of "new prosperity" by making US industries competitive again.

In 2008, candidate Obama failed to deliver on his pledge to create seven million new jobs in green energy and construction. Throughout his tenure, he's been more jobs destroyer than creator - ones included in monthly Labor Department reports mostly rotten temp or part-time poverty wage, few or no benefit jobs.

Most industrial and other good ones continue being offshored to low-wage countries. Will Trump deliver where Obama failed? Will he change a multi-decade trend on his own with little or no congressional help?

Is his pledge to fix things in America smoke and mirrors deception, the way it's been mainly since the neoliberal 90s, the Clinton crime family destroying millions of good domestic jobs, Bush and Obama continuing they it left off.

America was thirdworldized, resembling a banana republic for most of its citizens. Politicians on the stump promise anything for votes, virtually always delivering more of the same failed policies on the job.

Is Trump different from other previous presidential aspirants? Will he magically change decades of failed policies? Will he end US imperial wars?

Will he challenge Wall Street and other corporate predators responsibly? Will he end neoliberal harshness? Will police state laws be rescinded on his watch?

Will he serve all America's equitably and fairly? Will the sun begin rising in the West if he succeeds Obama?

I've stressed before his only redeeming quality is he's not Hillary. Given two deplorable choices, he's clearly the lesser of two evils hands down.
